Monthly Meetings

Club meetings provide us with opportunities to learn from highly skilled woodturners who live right here in the Richmond area as well as artisans from across the country. You can join us for all or part of our meeting depending on your availability.

Turners Talk

We start with Turners Talk at 5:30, which is an opportunity for all the turners in the club to talk about a specific topic that will enrich the skills and understanding of others in the club. Someone is always prepared to lead the discussion, but all are strongly encouraged to participate.

Monthly Meeting

Our regular club meeting starts at 6:30. It includes club announcements about upcoming events, then we have the privilege of seeing club members’ handiwork in our Show & Tell segment. We conclude with either a woodturning demonstration or a hands-on turning opportunity running multiple lathes to learn and practice something new with others. We typically wrap up around 8:45, leaving some time to clean up and put things back in order.

Location

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Woodcraft of Richmond, located at 9862 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA.
